12 - 14 October 2020
Lower Hutt Events Centre

The Technology Valley  Innovation Conference will take place over three days from 12 to 14 of October 2020. Please note that these dates replace the earlier earlier dates of June, which were postponed due to Covid-19

Showcasing and sharing expert knowledge, this event will serve as a forum for manufacturers and innovators across the Wellington Region to gather, network, and discuss global trends and how they may apply to our community.

This three day conference aims to connect the Technology Valley innovation community across its full spectrum – from start-ups, R&D professionals, traditional and high-tech manufacturers, software engineers and designers, and engineers, through to managers, and those looking for investment and global market channels.

As well as providing insights into preparing concepts for investment and how they might enter the global trading environment, other issues high on the agenda at the event include the challenges and opportunities provided by constantly changing customer demands, the rapid pace of technological advances in areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotics, along with heightening environmental concerns and intensifying competition both domestically and in international markets.

We’ll also focus on identifying and unlocking value from within your established business, creating high performing teams and increasing profitability through harnessing lean management and better utilising your local supply chain.

We’re assembling an impressive line-up of manufacturing and technology leaders, academics and government agencies who will engage in a stimulating blend of key note addresses, seminar and workshop presentations, and panel discussions. The event will also feature an exhibition showcasing local and national agencies that provide a wide range of development solutions and business services.

Speakers are welcome to apply to share their knowledge at this event, with the agenda and speaker line up being released as they are confirmed.

The topical themes we are building the agenda around represent the diverse challenges and opportunities most relevant to our innovation community, being: Industry 4.0, manufacturing, smart factory, lean and continuous improvement, robotics and automation, financing investment, research and development, precision engineering, health and safety, supply chain and logistics, sustainability, government policy and industrial strategy, exports and market readiness, skills and training, leadership, and collaboration.

Our speakers will be updated regularly as each speaker is confirmed and their presentations are added to the programme. Keep checking this page to find out who's been added or subscribe to updates to be the first to know who has been added to the TVIC programme.
